Adam J. Leamy has over 25 years’ experience in public affairs. Prior to founding Northwest Public Affairs in 2000, he was an owner of one of BC’s premier strategic communications firms. In three years with the BC Liberal Caucus, Leamy was responsible for communications, policy development, and research. Previously, he was the British Columbia lead for one of Canada’s largest government relations consulting firms, and has held executive positions with business associations in Toronto and British Columbia. Leamy began his public affairs career as a legislative researcher in the Queen’s Park Press Gallery.
Leamy holds a B.A. in Urban Studies from the University of Toronto, and an M.P.A. (Intergovernmental Management) from the University of Southern California. A veteran of the BC media world, he has provided analysis of BC and Canadian politics on programs including ‘Voice of BC with Vaughn Palmer,’ CBC Newsworld, CKNW, CFAX, ‘Nightline BC with Michael Smyth,’ and CBC Radio.
